Happy Yeaster!

Ahhh...chocolate!

It's not Easter yet (1.5 hrs) but you know what I mean. I get to go play the Easter Bunny in a few minutes.

Today, a bunch of neighbors got together and had an Easter egg hunt in one of the yards. It was fun. The kids loved it. You know how kids are. They freak out when they get a sticker and some candy in a plastic egg. It was fun and it was nice to be around the neighbors. Our schedules always seem to clash.

Just a quick post to say, Happy Easter.

spinning wheel

Hey! It's 12:45 AM and I am posting something to this blog! Why am I up?? Who knows?

I was working on some work-type stuff and I reached my limit for the evening, so I decided to throw something up here before I logged off and went to bed.

Hmmm... let's see. I have finally given in to the exhaustion that I have been feeling for the past two weeks. I'm wiped out. It seems that there is a lot going on around here and no breaks. Well, today I did get a break in the form of 4 hours of babysitting by the in-laws and a very large margarita at Chili's. Livin' on the edge, right???

A lot of stuff has been going on lately. My husband's aunt (who I just love) was diagnosed with lung and breast cancer. They operated on both and they are pretty optimistic, but we are still waiting to hear what the next step is. I'm keeping her in my prayers and sending good thoughts.

My super good friend that I have known forever is going through a bad time because of some surgery gone wrong. She is having a lot of issues and I know it is stressful for her. I have been sending good thoughts her way and I hope that everything works out. I'm a little worried because there is a lot for her to deal with. (If you are reading this, my Plainfield homegirl, you know I am always here for you)

In comparison to all of that, my car is leaking AGAIN. Seems trivial in light of everything else, but when that is my primary mode of transportation it can seem like a pretty big deal. So, we are car shopping again. My husband doesn't fit in anything that would get decent gas mileage and fit into a normal parking space. We are negotiating right now with the Honda dealer on a new Accord. Once my current car is fixed, cleaned and ready to go, I'm getting rid of it. We aren't upside down in it, so we should get a good trade. I'm so sick of cars right now.

Oh, and the dog. I quit. I just quit.
